A series of book designs absolutely packed with aircraft trivia. Author R.E.G.. Davies is Curator of Air Transport at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. He's one of the world's foremost experts on the cylinders we all love to hate, and a jolly good fellow to work with.

The Aeroflot book was particularly fun to work on–- at that time the Russians were still the bad guys and we had straight-from-Moscow photos and diagrams in the studio of aircraft that the Western world had never seen before. These were challenging books to lay out–- stuffed with maps and tabular material that couldn't be massaged very much. The series are now collector's items, highly prized by aircraft buffs.
