The San Francisco-based Burning Man art festival continues to grow past it's summertime tradition and Nevada desert location, spinning-off smaller events all across the country. One of Burning Man's founders was sent on a journey across the US to connect with all the smaller regional communities, in an effort to strengthen communication and teach the doctrine of this experimental "gift economy". The road trip website that we designed and maintain is a small subset of the main Burning Man site. It is the road journal of a missionaries' travels. Full of emotion, it is by turns romantic and pragmatic, visionary and realistic, enlightening and just plain obtuse. It has numerous hidden pages and features, rewarding those who probe around with extra insight... as the path to enlightenment is never easy.
